• Indian mytho facts... The history of solar eclipse is deep so far. Solar eclipse as we know is the biggest eclipse when sun is all covered by a black-covered planet. Its the time when the sky turns out to be dark due to fading brightness.the history of solar eclipse is ages back.....during the time of satyayug. Once upon a time samudra manthan took place in wake of exploring the lost.. Ambrosia kalash which fell down in ocean due to a fight which took place between asuras and devas.samudra manthan is conducted to explore all the ratanas , devi laxami and ambrosia kalasj which had been lost so far. A madranchal mountain is used as a support and nag vasuki is used as a rope to shake the madranchal mountain so that ocean coulf be churned to explore everything what was lost! Now at last, their was one think missing that was the back to madranchal mountain so that it could be stable.the problem was solved , as our diety lord vishnu took the incarnation of a tortoise on the back which stood the great madranchal. Now devas stood on the one side of vasuki and on the mouth of vasuki stood the asuras. With the dragging of the rope from both sides, began... The smaudhra manthan. At first.. A lot of venomn was scattered which was drunk by lord shiva... And after that a lot of ratanas were scattered out such as apsaras, eravat(a six headed elephant), devi laxami , the great conch... At last came deva dhanvantri with a kalash of ambrosia.. After dhanvantri came with a kalash of ambrosia.. The asuras gone crazy and they lost their mind. They began to run after dhanvantri. Devas became annoyed at sucj behaviour of dhanvantri.they pleaded almighty vishnu to tackle the ambiguity. Vishnu thought a clever idea to tackle the ambiguity. He took avatar of mohini(lady-dancer) to fascinate asuras. Later, she he in thr disguise of mohini came before asuras and start dancing. Her beauty made asuras silly and they all fell in love with her.they stopped running after dhanvantri. Now mohini made and ally that she would give ambrosia to those asuras who would br patient. When mohini was about to start the distribution...one of the asuras named rahu identified that mohini was none other than lord vishnu.he also cleverly disguised into a deva and stood in the row of devas.mohini started with the devas...now when it was the turn of rahoo... He clevery drunk ambrosia severed by mohini. Chandra deva and suryas who were just next to raho.. Not even took a minute to identify him they both told about rahu's treachery to disguised lord vishnu. Lord vishnu on hearing up the truth became annoyed. He call forth his scrimitar(sudharshna chakra)through which he used to kill demons.within no time, he be-headed rahu with the scrimitar due to the effect of ambrosia, rahu didnt died. But also, due to the attack, rahu got be-headed. Since then he had two parts: one his beheaded body and the oTher part his slane head. Since then his head came to be known as rahu and his be headed body came to be known as ketu. Since then rahu and ketu in the wake of hostility started conciding sun. Thus, rahu and ketu  became the enemies of sun since the times of samudra mantra.this is the fact behind solar eclipse occuring each and every time after a long lapse.
